Is it okay to hate your rival?

There is an interesting post on the morality of sport-hatred over at the Practical Ethics blog. It would be great if some sport philosophers got in on the discussion.

I'm thinking more about this as I experience certain emotions connected with Robin van Persie after my beloved Arsenal lost at Old Trafford yesterday...

Philosophy of Sport one of 50 Best Blogs

At least, that's what someone at Zen College Life says . Perhaps I'm just being defensive, but I don't think this blog is "male-dominated". I guess one could conclude this by looking at the list of contributors, as by my count 15 out of 23 contributors are male. Regardless, if any non-male philosophers of sport are interested in contributing, and for that matter people from places outside of the U.S. and Canada, let me know.
